OK, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to technology. There, I said it. :tongue3:

Question: Do any of you that shoot videos and post them on YouTube use the video editor they offer?
If so, can you combine videos, add music, and titles with their video editor?
I was hoping to avoid having to buy video editing software.

Thanks for any input.

My first few videos i was editing with my phone (which is what i use for my videos) and i used a program called Androvid pro to merge all my clips...i recently got a new laptop with windows 8 and finally learned how to use movie maker ..which is allot better.

Yes there are some free and low-cost video editors available. Yes, the YT editor will let you combine video clips and add titles, but it's very limited. You can always play with it without publishing the result if you don't like it.

Personally I think you would do MUCH better if you found a computer based editor.

I use only their stabilization tool. I stack it in iMovie first edit add music then export to Youtube. Not sure how it would do with building the whole thing. I wish we had enough room on here to upload and host videos here.
Are you using windows or a Mac?

I am using Windows. Maybe TMac's "Movie Maker" would be a good option. I'll have to check that out.
I've been shooting my short videos with an RCA Small Wonders video camera.

Thanks for all the great info everyone.

Send them to me I will edit them for free and if your vid quality is good I will make a professional intro for your videos. I use Adobe After Effects and Sony Vegas. Make sure you have good art on your tube channel.. it helps with subscribers

Thanks for that offer CD, but this is something I want to take the time and learn how to do it myself. Kind of like learning a new detector.
