'Detectorless" treasure hunting...
Been metal detecting for some years now and made some nice finds... though lately, I've taken to scouting out a local swimming hole armed w/ nothing but a diving mask.
You would be surprised what you can find just laying around on the bottom! I found 5 rings one summer (one gold), alot of loose change, diving masks, sunglasses, earrings and just 3 days ago, a "relic" wet watch made by "Fossil" in perfect condition... I'm wearing it now.
Went back and hunted the shallows with my old Whites surfmaster and found 10 quarters + misc. change, but don't neglect simply 'eyeballing' the bottom as a way to make good finds!
