I used the Wader, which was a step above the Pirate.

While I love the idea of the Detectorpro series, the units seem to be having too many quality control problems for my liking.

I was not impressed by the depth of my Wader, though it seemed to handle the wet salt sand better than most other VLF units, perhaps because of its low frequency.

Thanks for the info. The little bit that i have used it has only been dry sand. And i liked. But i have a Whites QXT and love it even in wet sand it does ok. I might try to flip the Pirate and see if i can get something diffrent that might be better. Don't know what im going to do lol.
