This caught my eye while detecting the upper river bank - just a bright spot on top of dirt and moss.

I have heard of folks sifting in this area in the 50's/60's for artifacts - but haven't really looked myself.

It sure does look like flint at least, probably knocked off of something they were making, I would hunt that area more!

If it was a point it is broken in half now. Good area to go back to.

That is a piece of flint from working stone into a tool or blade. I would look more in that area and if you have permission, I would do some screening myself:icon_thumright:
