So, today we went back to the spot where we hunted on Christmas Day( http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,442492.0.html ) . We took some rakes and raked all under the trees where we've been finding so much flint(The place is just loaded with debitage!). It is bare dirt under all these little trees and by pulling all the leaves back, we were rewarded with some good finds. We found more tiny points(Wash!ta's or Madisons?), some incised pottery, and my oldest daughter found an abrading stone. It was a beautiful days with temps in the 60's---what a Blessing to have such good weather in January!!
First picture is of the area---the ground under all the little trees you see is where we found stuff.
Thanks for looking~~~

Yep, we'll have all those leaves cleared out before you come back and then the looking will be easy :blob7: . If we'd get a little bit of rain, it would help too!
Thanks T.....

This weather has been so fantastic we can't stand to stay in the house. And I am amazed at all the pieces of pottery we've been finding---the pieces are small, but its something to think they've survived on top of the ground for so long.
Glad you enjoyed the pictures, Lisa, and thanks for the comments.

Hey Carmon, Looks like your on a good campsite. Nice finds on the abrader, points and pottery. There was alot of activity going on around those little trees.
This January weather we been having has not made it difficult to get outside and do some looking...

This is a monster camp site, Buckshot, situated between 2 creeks--one main big creek and one smaller creek that barely has a name---mom always told me some of the best sites she and grandpa ever found were at the confluence of 2 creeks, and now I believe her  .
Thanks for the comments~Hope you get to do some hunting yourself!

Carmon
