A handful of deep targets from Riverside
The area I was hunting this AM for a few hours had either surface trash targets or the occasional deep target (>7 inches). I was looking for high-tone or mid-tone signals that were deep. Some large pieces of iron were found, and there was an occasional pull tab at 6 inches, but there were a handful of older objects, too. The exception was a shallow wheat at about 3 inches, but this was within 4 feet of a large tree.
Keepers are pictured below:
A gilt copper pendant missing its square stone,
A cast brass square nail (let me know if you know when such nails were used),
A 1892 Indian Head Cent with 'LIBERTY' visible, and
A partial pinned panel that is missing pin and other pieces that would have identified it (there was felt-like material in the panel).
Thanks for taking a look.
