Hey guys

Today i did something that might be illegal. I dug some targets in a national historic district. I found an aold tin dated mid 1800's too. Then I turned around and saw the sign, also I happen to notice a man in a pickup watching me..

Maybe i got off lucky..Just a reminder, you may not want to dig in a place with a black metal sign that says historical district..Someone could be watchin!

If they're only watching, keep doing what you're doing. If you're in the wrong place and they have the authority to, I'm sure they'll let you know.

I don't think a Historic District is off limits. The usual reason for designating the area a historic district is two fold. One, it forces the land owners to maintain the property. Second, it allows the land owners to get a lower interest rate loan for improvements.

I agree, if you have permission from the owner there is no problem.
