Digging in the rain .... well worth it

Out for an hour in the rain . Took my AT out for the first time this year . My Etrac dosent like the downpoor for some reason . Only one good target today . I dug a beautiful 1865 2 cent piece . I have dug four of them before this but this one is in amazing condition and I am happy to finally have a nice example. Im glad I went out and played in the rain :-D :-D

I didn't dig any last year at all so when I saw it in the plug I thought nickel . Then I saw the shield and thought I dug my first shield nickel . Wrong again lol. It wasn't till I rubbed the front and saw the 2 that it dawned on me what I had

It was mixed in with a bunch of iron . So I couldnt get a decent number on it. I was more digging the high tone I keep hearing peaking through.

I've found 2-1865 2centers. Within a week of each other at 2 separate sites! Lol very common year I guess? Nice find great looking coin!
