My wife and I just returned from a four day trip to my home turf in Northern Indiana. My brother offered to fly me up there to show him how to post items on Craigslist and E-bay. Who was I to say "no"? ;D Of course I took my detector with me.  On Friday, I hit a corn field that I've been trying to get at for years. According to my old maps, I knew there used to be an old one room school house out there back at the turn of the century.
Every time I had been back there before the corn was over 6 foot tall. :'( So as you can see in the videos, the corn was fast asleep this time.
I only had a few hours to locate the school and detect, because my wife was anxious to hit the casinos. It was a bit cold & windy, but I didn't care, I wanted something, ANYTHING, out of that field as proof. I concentrated on a section that was raised up close to the road. After numerous pieces of crappe' and shotgun shell heads, I finally found a piece of a pocket watch. After that a few square nails, a small piece of brick, a lantern thumb wheel, old key, a brass goat bell, and finally a coin! It's only a 1907 IH cent, but to me it was the joy of knowing that indeed I was in the right spot and was able to locate a few pieces from days gone by. By Sunday it was cold & snowing, so I couldn't get back out there again. At least I know where to start again when I get back there next time.

Oh yeah, my wife did WAY better than me this trip. I only got an IH penny, but she hit TWO royal flushes on video poker ($1284 and $1250). Did I mention how much I love my wife? ;D
Have a great week,
MM
P.S. Sorry I haven't been on TN too much lately, but I had to get a garden going.

Been missing those videos, MM! Thanks!

Congrats on the bell and the IH! And if you stay outta the wifey's closet, she just may share that good fortune with ya! :D Congrats to her too! :icon_queen:

Nana

O.K. Nana,
I didn't want to mention this, but after she hit the jackpots we BOTH splurged on a pedicure & manicure. Mine was the MANicure of course. :tongue3:
Before you rough & tough guys out there on TN think less of me, you don't know what you're missing having a young good looking Asian girl massaging your legs and feet with hot lotion for 15 minutes. :o  I almost bought her to take home with my wifes winnings. ;D :tongue3:
And NO, I didn't get my nails painted. I was thinking about gold & silver though. ::)

Doug,
I'm glad you're were able to find some remnants of the old school house. That, in itself, is a victory. The finds are just icing.
Congrats to your wife for hitting two jackpots also!! Great vacation!!
Thanks for posting the vids, buddy!
Congrats,

Thanks Big Dan.
I have more to post from local hunts I did a few weeks ago (including a few silver) if I ever get time.

You always have to go and put scary thoughts in our heads (someone rubbing your feet and legs)... :tongue3:

Glad you had a good trip homeslice - maybe we can hit my field 'round here soon.

Dang, if it isn't David Copperfield Andy. I thought you had disappeared or were on the run. :icon_scratch: ;D
I'll be hitting it on Saturday. I have a 1905 house to hit. Supposed to be great weather too.
