DIME TRI-FECTA ~ Barber, Merc's, and Rosie!! WOOHOOO!!!

I met Richard downtown today to do some detecting! I ended up with almost $6.00 in clad. Four silver dimes, seven wheats, an Indian head cent, and a small sterling ring! Richard dug a lot of clad and a real nice silver ring!

I got my first dime TRI-FECTA!! 1963-D Rosie, 1917 & 1943-S Merc dimes, and my first pre-1900 Barber dime 1893-S! The Indian Head cent is in such bad shape that I can't make out the date. I'm gonna try tumbling it for a while with other copper cents, steel wool, & vinegar to see if that helps any ~ but I doubt it!

Thanks for looking!
Neil

Wow! Way to go, Neil! I should have known my 1916 Barber would not stand up. Even so, I'm glad you keep proving that there are older coins still to be found in Eugene.

Great job!

Let's get out again soon!

Mike

Congrats on the silver dimes and the IH Neil!!
Like Mike said, there are still old coins to be found in Eugene.
Hope the IH turns out good enough to see the date. I ended up with about $5.87 worth of clad, the '44-s nickel and 4 wheats, a silver ring and a peral ear ring. All in all, a good afternoon of detecting. Gold Nuggets :icon_jokercolor:

THANKS DAN!!

My very first silver dime I ever dug back in 1993 was a 1909 Barber dime . . . . it was my oldest dime until July 2007 when I dug a 1908 Barber dime . . . . Now today I beat the 1908 by 15 years ~ 1893!

I'm still praying to the treasure Gods for a Barber Quarter!

Nice haul, Neil!!!
My brother lives in Oregon.
He swears he can't find anything,
maybe you can show him how it's done.

Nice, you're lucky to be able to find all those S mint coins being on the west coast. I find more S mint coins here in Ohio than my buddy and he always says that I made an S of myself. ;D

THANKS Ron!

I found the four dime with my older XLT. I'm not sure what the deal is . . . . the new one seems to work just like the old one, but why can't I find any silver coins with the new XLT? WEIRD!!!
