Google maps pays off again! I'm constantly looking for new places to hunt primarily using google maps as my main resource. Today I drove over to a school that I scouted out and found that is was full of coins!

It was T shirt weather today and the sun was out8-) .

While hunting the baseball field I kept thinking that I have to dug out some wheat pennies, that would be my sign for some possible good targets. The first 2 hours produced 3 wheat pennies at depths from 2 inches (gopher mounds) to 6 inches. Finally after 2 1/2 hour I get a silver rosie, 30 minutes later I dig out a merc at 5 inches! Also dug a silver ring and about $6.00 in clad!

Haven't been out much due to those two rain storms that blew through the bay area. It's good to get out a swing the coil especially in this nice sunny and warm weather we are having in Nor Cal.

Research pays off! If that is your first trip to that field, you've definitely stumbled onto a virtual coin mine! My go-to soccer field produced HEAVILY every time I went out, until finally petering out...and now I'm digging all the mid tones..lol..it still surprises me from time to time. Good luck, looking forward to seeing your future finds...ddf
