Okay, Oro, will you please put another log on the fire, and Don Jose', break out those marshmallows, and I will be back with my story. It involves one of our hot topics; The Jesuits.

I don't recall a direct follow-up, on this special subject of interest
specifically, but would really like to hear more...

A Different Sun Angle Showing A Different Shadow

I have looked at this carving a few times,
and took a few pics at different times also.

The first time the sun was in the position
to create this shadow, that I had seen.

Someone whittled this, some long time
back, it seems...

Ah! The Jesuits. Hot topic, for sure. One thing, I've often wondered, was were did all of the church's treasures go?

The Jesuits did have a mission in Alamos before it was destroyed and another was built around it's ruins. There is an awesome story there.
It is a mystery that has not been solved, as to where the treasures went. Shall I share it?

DO TREASURES HAVE REAL SPIRITS?

The short and sweet version is that the original treasure that had been housed inside the original structure, had gone missing.
The question being, were they stolen or were they hidden?

A great reason for the treasures to have been hidden was that the Jesuits got word of an impending Indian revolt and frantically threw everything in the smelter and hid it somewhere below or around the church.Or did the indigenous warriors get to it first?

That sounds like a great part of the intro,
to a very intriguing chapter, or book on
the subject...

Perhaps you will be able to add much more
history, and details to it in time, maybe in-
between a nice bound book's hardcovers...

Would undoubtedly do quite well, especially
if the mystery were to be even partially
discovered in the future, then maybe
somewhat tactfully shared, in a nice,
well written, and woven composition?...

~ Lighted From The Inside As Probly Not Ever Before ~

Is coffee time over already?...

This third one, for good luck. Since 3 is
such a great number, with 3a & 3b, as to
make it easy to compare, dark and light.

I don't usually use a flash inside here,
but it does make it look a lot different.
This is the first time I lit it up on inside,
and noticed something here I hadn't before,
as it may once have been lit with a flickering light...

That is, with much less carved shadows, to
be mysteriously cast, from the light coming
in from without, and a new one eerily seen,
casting light, from this reverse inside angle...

It is remarkable just how many good stories are out there and how one could elaborate on them, right? Mexico is full of them. Now, what country /village should we visit?

You probly already know enough stories, to write quite
an interesting, mysterious, and varied treasures novel...

No tellin' what nice book you could write, weaving in
whatever ye may like to choose, and elaborate on...


PS. You could probly write a best seller, just about the
notorious resident miner and, well storyteller (to put it politely)...
