All this talk about rights who really owns anything,it all started with squatter's right.Hey! I see you over there with that detector,All right Show me what you found.HHHmm I'm' gonna have to take you in. Do you think it will ever get to that. gps on your detector they can tell when it's on ,where you where and how far down the target was and if it was Ferris or nonferrous. All they need is a hole or dirt that look disturbed and they can place you at the seen. the single that you put out is registered in your name and,if you treat that like hand gun licence the owner can't beferther than 50 yard away when lets some one use his pistol. How does ever one think of that please reply.

Don't worry about it. Talk to your neighbors, your local politicians at the city or county level, tell them what fun you're having! Invite them along! Have fun spreading the fun.

Hay liftloop,

I don't feel like an out law at all.
I feel like an old bald headed far+ out there havin fun.

gps on your detector they can tell when it's on ,where you
where and how far down the target was and if it was Ferris
or nonferrous.

Sorry, but GPS receivers don't send out a signal. They
just receive.

All they need is a hole or dirt that look disturbed and they
can place you at the seen.

If someone tried that on tha Tabdog, I'd have them for
lunch.

How does ever one think of that please reply.

I think we will be alright as long as we conduct our selves
in a responsible manor.

Happy Huntin,

Tabdog

feel like an outlaw? Nah, not me. But then again, no one sees me at night. ;D Not that I'm afraid that I can't be where I'm at, BUT I JUST DON'T WANT TO HEAR "OTHERWISE" So it's better that no one's around, to gripe, to begin with. Kinda like picking your nose: just be discreet and no one cares. 8)

We have gps tracking technology with company cell phones here. They can pinpoint you pretty darn good with those phones...and they don't even need to be turned on. :o

But I dont see manufacturers puting them in their detectors....but it could be a good way to track a stolen detector. :icon_scratch: Choices, choices....

I'm not an outlaw....I'm a rebel.

Wow, and here I thought it was ME being the paranoid one!! :D
GPS in the detector!!?? Gee - that would add another $300 to the cost.
Spying on us?? Monitoring our signal?

No, I'm not complaining Mr. Cheney!
Why YES, officer, I DO have a license for this thing! :-\

Al, just so you can tell your fellow employees, the phone does have to be turned on to be tracked. The higher ups may have told you otherwise but if there is no power to the handset the GPS tracking will not work. That goes for Verizon, ATT, Sprint/Nextel, TMobile................
