this was a selling point when I bought my house
it was a sewing nook in the cellar - I painted it and moved my detecting stuff in
I have stuff all over the cellar (and the house) but this is my base of operations
HOLY *s**T!! Now THAT my friend is a MAN CAVE!!! I do use my spare bedroom as mine. Of course as of right now it's only got my Gamma, digging tools, pointer, etc. so yeah, basically empty hahaha Man, the stories you must have while searching for all those jars of coins! Hope you have a some good house insurance! HH
My MD'ing "cave" consists of a bookcase with books and MD'ing trinkets and plastic tubs, cans and jars containing the rest of my good, clad and junk finds. I wish I had a room for it.
its not really a display room - more of a storage and work room - I usually have my dremel down there
there are picks and different cleaning brushes on the desk - lighted magnifier - and small magnifier
jewelry cleaner on the right of desk - barrel for my tumbler under the desk
most of the containers with American coins are ones beyond saving (the keepers I deposit in an account and use for my trips)
the foreign are pesos, euros and other carribean coinage
wish I had everything I ever found - been detecting for 38 yrs since age 12
after 2 divorces - I only have stuff from like the last 17 yrs
finally met someone that does not mind my hobby - in fact she is the one that found this house-she knew I would love
that nook
One advantage (and there are many) of being single is that the entire house is my woman cave and I have given myself permission to strew my sh--, ah stuff, anywhere I please.
Garage is the man cave of sorts for the mister but we have a bookshelf in the house full of coins, oddities, and bottles. Our laundry room sink is a catch all for newly washed relics.
Awesome "detecting" Man caves. I hope to have one when I get a house.
As for that one with the firearms...I don't know about that safe door, my wife would lock me in there if I was in trouble... Guess it wouldn't be to bad though.
