Do you need a beach pass or permit for Ocean City, NJ?

Yes they are 5.00 @ day or 10.00 for @ week during beach hours. If you enter the beach anywhere from the boardwalk you will see them sitting there. Early AM or after 6PM if your detecting they never have bothered me. If you get on the beach without a tag they also have spotters walking around checking.

Inspectors sell the tags if you don't have one. So I would just sneek on and if you don't get checked you wont need one. You will probably find a few yearly tags anyway as they have a metal clip on them. Then you can start selling them to the tourist yourself.
