I found this in a abandoned house 2 years ago. Some sort of walking toy.....?......made of wood and hand painted. What kind of value do you think it has? He was in a box with some other 50's toys, but he could be newer or older I guess.

Looks like a lawn ornament to me, or maybe a snow lawn ornament depending on the weather.

kind of looks like something grandpa would make.
probably has some folk art value

Yup! It is a walking doll. Similar to a puppet on a string. Hold the rod and make it waddle forward as if to walk.

Jimb is right on with the "waddling doll". What really adds interest. . . and value. . . is the "ethnic" motif (got to be politically correct )
