There's a soccer field near an older area that is elevated a few feet higher than the surrounding terrain.

I am wondering if anyone has any knowledge about how these low budget fields are constructed. Would they bring in fill or would they use they just use what's available shape the field?

If local soil is used, do they sift it first?

Thanks for your help.

Probably fill dirt that is compacted down by bulldozers running over it.. Maybe fill dirt with gravel mixed in..

That's what I figured. I was hoping it wasn't so. Thanks for your help.
