It's a nice looking coin! I wouldn't call it AU though. Several marks on the fields and flattening of letters from wear.
 

The columns, steps, and Jefferson's hair have wear. I have the PCGS photo guide on my iPad, it's a really helpful tool

It's a scan... and in my experience, a scanned coin in AU or higher usually looks about a grade or so lower than it really is... For example, it's virtually impossible to scan an older Jefferson nickel with full steps and have them show up.

As for there is still some mint luster still on it (if you look closely at the first picture, you can see it)... I'll try and get up some better, not scanned photos later.
