OK so i may have mislead you into believing i was diggin for treasure, but i was actually digging to find my porch, the drive way and road after about a foot of snow on Fri, Sat. now its sunday and about this much more snow fell over night so guess who is going diggin again?

Is better to dig...

I tried the lazy man way, once.
only dug enough to open the door.
The dog went back and forth, back and forth... for days and days.
We ended up with narrow canyons about 4-5ft deep... it was crazy!

The next year, snowplows put a 10ft high berm across the front of my parking area! Jerks!
I had to borrow a backhoe from a friend to dig an access through it.

We got the last laugh, though.
The road went up a hill.
and the camber was high on my side, down to the opposite.
For WEEKS the overnite freeze made a solid sheet of ice from the daytime melt and we had bumber cars to watch, first thing every morning!
