Was out in the woods today when I walked onto a great site. Found 2 Large Cents. Very little detail on them Can see the liberty head on the one and the wreath on the other but that is about it. Also found a beautiful shoe buckle. I cant seem to get a good picture of it to capture its beauty. But it is nicely carved with a awsome pattern. I also found this great condition George II. I find these from time to time but very rarely in this condition..It looks good in the pics but even they dont do it justince in person you can see 95% of the detail even the lines in his hair.

Beautiful shoe buckle!! I would love to find one of those! The LC's & the George aren't to shabby either....especially the "Gorgeous George".
Nice finds! Dale

What is really neat is that it is a 1749. In 1749 the British sent some 800,000 halfpence and some 200,000 farthings, fresh from the mint, to Massachussetts on the HMS Mermaid. This was to defray the cost to the colonies of helping fight the French. Any 1749's found in America very likely came from this source.
