Yep...finally got my XLT.....used to be a hole digga, now I digs my own! 8)

An old abandoned house site on my friend's property. I was finding nothing but junk, and it started to rain....

d.d.d..dangit

Went up under some pine trees and found these beauties within ten feet of each other...then it started to pour.
Can't wait to get back there and find some more.
Hopefully these are CW bullets.....they were about five inches down under pine trees in ground that had not been disturbed in a long time.

Well, considering that Winchester VA changed hands OVER 70 TIMES in the CW I'd say you're in a good dang spot!   :D  And yes, these are CW bullets.  I can't tell much about the first and third, but the middle one is CERTAINLY a Spencer.  Looks dropped.  So it's a Late-War drop.  (By the way, when you find these, the casings are frequently gone from the elements, but the circular brass end of the casing is usually there--so recheck your holes!).  If the last one has no rings--then Enfield.  It looks fired, but I can't really tell what it is from the photo.

Congratulations!

I'm fairly certain that the third one is a fired three-ring minieball.

First one still has me stumped. I see one ring plus a faint "ring" which could be a mark from where the casing was clamped around it... I'm still looking though.

Where there is three there should be more. Let us know what else you find out there, that could be the "hot spot'. Make us XLT-er's proud.

Nice CW bullets! The XLT is a nice machine. You will probably have to remove the trash from that home site before the goodies start coming up. You can make that XLT water resistant, tape over the external speaker and get a cover for the control housing or do what I did for a long time and just put a see through bag over the housing.
