Double Indian Head Cent Day 1887 & 1895 * Oregon

My friend Canslaw & I found a new field today that we have been researching for the last year and today between the oak trees we had a short 1.5 hour hunt there. He dug a heavy silver men's chain and I dug 2 Indian Cents. 1887 & 1895... both crusty but keepers

Thanks everyone... this new site ( I am a bad guesser) is like 5 - 10 acres... we will be there for a while... The last time our research shows that anyone used this site is approx pre 1910. Before that is was used by hundreds of people each year... There was supposed to be an old race track (horses) there... Cant wait to do this site again

Sounds like a great site Gary. Any site that had that many people roaming around is gonna have some hot spots. You'll find em and end up with a pile of silver. And day with a couple of old coins is a good day

Hi Larry....I was there once for approx 1 hour at day break this winter when the ground was frosted over. After a few swings the coil would have like and inch of snow on it. Lots of trash but too cold to really hunt. I will go back over this spring. Hey... maybe you got all of the silver from that site? Thanks for the tip
