Earlier this year my hunting buddy (FatTony315) and I hit a site that we've hunted in the past. We ended up hunting an area pretty far away from the foundation that was set up on a hill. In a stunning example of originality and deep thought we named the site "Copper Hill". We're thinking it must have been a garden or something similar because Tony got 3 large cents and a half cent there this April. We decided to hit it again and I was able to pull one more large copper and a nice dandy button from the same area. Turned out to be a very nice 1803 draped bust large cent.

welcome to the '03 DBLC club, got mine 2 weeks back at a 1723 Colonial home, waiting for someone to adopt her, they just need at least $40 to cuddle with her ;--)
First 1803 for me too. My hunting buddy Tony found an 1804 half cent and an 1805 DBLC along with two classic head LCs there. When this '03 came up he was disappointed that he didn't get the '03, '04, '05 run of coins from the same site. Would have been cool if he did but I'm happy he left one for me. :laughing7:

Have you cleaned up the coin yet? Have any pics?! I see olive oil mentioned but yours needs nothing, which you know, since you're consistently posting some real nice stuff.
