Dredging for gemstones

I am interested in dredging for gemstones. The area I am consentrating on is not a gold producing area. The size of dredge would be 2 and a half inches.

Would there be any necessary modifications or improvements for a gold dredge to do this?

Any idea on the best kind of dredge to do this with?

I've sent dredges bound for Africa,Indonesia,Thailand,ShriLanka with grease plate setups.Essentially miners moss with a vaseline/lard mix, Each guy has his own recipee as gems are not as heavy as gold and need help holding in the box. And each gem type has it's own physical properties,diamonds are slightly greasey feeling right outta the ground. In brazil the roughs(diamonds),by the teacup full were found using a regular dredge just screened finer(over /under)and run a tad slower.I've been told of limited success using a Hi-G concentrator because the extreme velocity adds up g forces to help increase the specific gravity of gems,and fluidized beds too.Tons a au 2 u 2-John
