So I went out to my favorite spot this past Friday and was not disappointed. This is after the last 4 visits without finding a liberty nickel, something that was a for sure thing before. It never failed I would find one or two and on my best day up to 8, but this day as I was thinking of calling it a quits I find one staring at me as I walk out of the arroyo straight into a fire pit. I thought my buddy and I had found all the fire pits in this small area, but this one was new to me. Well, wouldn't you know it it was sitting there just on top of the dirt next to the pit where it has been laying there for over a 100 years after a miner sat down to get warm after a hard days work. That brings my total to 15... More with my buddy's finds. Today after cleaning my garage I decided to take Betsy (AT Gold) out for a walk to the old dumpsite. It rained a little and with the clouds overhead It was the perfect time to get out. I had to hurry, only 1 hr of day light left. Good thing I did, 5 min into the hunt and I get the sweet tone of silver, I find a stering silver buckle, after that I get another good tone, I dig 2 inches and a Knights of Pythias badge pops out. Wow, a first for me... By this time it's getting dark so I make myself to the car and on the way I pull a wheatie and a 1944 20 centavo. Not bad for an hr or so.... good thing I listened to Betsy, lol. Enjoy the pics

Hey TY! Good finds, we stopped there on the way home from the mountains. Didn't have the machines on us but dug around and poked through some old burn pits. Found a couple bottles and an old spoon and knife. Glad your dry spell is over!

Hey bob, we have to get together and go for a hunt... Just found out that Orogrande is being bought out and our days might be numbered there.
