Dry suit headgear

I used one of the DUI hoods that matched the suit I had. I've had that thing out in 35 degree F water with no problems. I can't speak of hearing via headphones, but to hear anyone above water was a challenge unless you tugged out one of the sides. Underwater, my scuba unit was still loud enough to hear it the entire time. I'd say my longest time underwater in that hood/suit was around 50 minutes in that temperature. Mind you, I also had the cuff system and dry gloves on my suit. That alone made a world of difference for comfort.

If it makes any difference as to my opinion on scuba equipment, I've been a North East US wreck diver since 2001, as well as a PADI Divemaster and spent 10 years working at Dutch Springs over in Bethlehem, PA before moving on to other work.
