Normally this time of year, I either hunt in the woods or fields, but since it was in the high 30's to mid 40's yesterday (and the ground isn't frozen yet) I went to a school that has been around since the early 1900's that has a couple of abandoned and condemned houses nearby. I was hoping to get on board with my 1st silver for 2016. I saw evidence that someone else hunted in the front of the school so I concentrated on the field out back. The hunts were not great, both condemned properties were very trash laden. I didn't even pull a wheat from any of the 3 sites. :BangHead: I did dig a large 1864 IHP replica from the school. When I first dug it, all I saw was part of the reverse side and immediately my thought was that I dug a LC, but after a few seconds, reality set in and I was brought down to earth. It's a cool dig anyways.

I sure am looking forward to spring when I can get back into hinting older permission sites. :coffee2:

That replica is cool! Never seen one. Glad you got out. It is snowing here this morning so I guess I'll spend some time with the little Misses. Also like the cars and hand cuff. Even slow hunts are interesting. Thanks for sharing

Really cool large Indian, and the rest of the goodies. Jealous your getting out. Maybe it's a sign of a "BIG" IH year! Congrats

Huh. That's a pretty great find, IMO. Never seen one of those before which in my mind, makes it all the more awesome. It's amazing how much stuff there is that I didn't even know exists. Congrats!

Thanks to all who posted and or liked. Just knowing that so many have hung it up until spring, I felt like I had to post so others could at least "feed the dragon" by looking at today's finds.

I know I will need to see many posts from others to keep my obsession in check for the next 2 months.

That is cool. I would rather that than a common or rough real Indian head penny any day! [emoji106]
