Yesterday I tried chest mounting my Minelab Sovereign for the first time. I always kneel down to dig my hole. While kneeling, I grab the coil shaft to check the hole. Got a nice loud signal everytime I got close to my body. Dug a little more closer to me, still a nice signal. Kept digging and backing up.


Stupid 10" coil picks up the control unit hanging on my chest from 20 inches away!

I would imagine that battery pack and controls is much like overhead power lines when it gets that close to the coil. Monty
