I can't get the battery life over two bars. My rechargeable is fully charged and when I put it in says 4 bars then drops down to two. So today I bought 8 fresh batteries and put it in my other pack. Same thing happened. Any ideas on what would be causing this? I really don't want to send it in :(

what i would do is charge the re chargable pack for a min. of 12 hrs. than hunt till the low batt. warning occurs. also note.. if you charge the pack and don't use it it will start to discharge over just a few days. i wouldn't worry too much about the bars on the unit. i would first see if you can get normal use for at liest 8 hrs. of continuous use first. It seems i get approx 9 to 10 hrs. of use on a set of energizer alkalines. It seems my etrac will drop to 2 bars at around 7 hrs. hope this helps.
