E-trac on the beach

I've used them all and personally I think either the Excal or the Sovereign are better on the beach (assuming saltwater). My machine of choice on the beach is an Explorer II with the Pro Coil.

It's terrible. All I found in the wet sand was these junkers. The big one is 3.5 carats of diamonds and 18kt gold.




Seriously...it is great on the beach.

The Sov may be a little more tweakable.... but the Xcal is basically the same machine and does well on dry sand. Im with Bill..... i use and Explorer SE with a SEF coil when i choose to sand hunt.
