Early 1900's pocket spill and a nice button tonight
That was fun!!! First evening on a new old homesite. I started getting a good signal and pulled out the 1912 lincoln. Double-checked the hole and the probe buzzed. Looked down and saw the V and one of the IHP's stuck together. Swept the hole a couple more times and got the 1909 plain lincoln and the other IHP. Then I swept my coil over the surrounding area and got a week signal. Dug another plug and found the barber standing on edge. Would have walked right over that one. That was the end of my little excitement. Ended up finding this button about 10 feet away from the spill. Can someone please ID and give me the era of this button. Backmarks are Extra Quality, Front says Excelsior. Also found some harmonica reeds, old lamp parts and miscellaneous. I only covered the very front yard and still have a lot to cover. HH
