Yeah, but just like today, they had non-sequiturs 300 years ago; and, 100 years ago they had BBQ's. That's a nice BBQ :thumbsup:

Congrats on the pre-1900 BBQ barrier breaker! You got the gear and ground to add to that for sure! 114 years old and she still shines, unlike the crap they put in our pockets today. And just to play Boris' advocate I betting it's not aluminum either. Although some of the nearly 300 year old tokens I've found from the time period around the date of that BBQ also still shine pretty nicely.... or was it 114 years old or so?

And yep, most likely a musket ball, not minie ball. Minie balls are the conical shaped bullets with rings around the base.
