Got out for two hours last night to the site I found my kglll a couple weeks ago. Staid in the iron patch most of the time. It's about 150 ft circle that'll drive you crazy with iron. Managed to get several buttons a couple thimbles, musket balls and some misc brass. My favorite find is the 1820-40s marine button, first military item from this field. No coppers this time. Only got 3 from this site, really think this fields been hit before. But I don't mind these scraps theft behind. Did get a 1902 nickel and 1919 wheat on way out. Hope they plow this year it's been 6 years since last plow. That would bring it back to life I think. Here's some pics from my wv trip last weekend. Just some buttons and a pewter spoon handle. The quarter my mom found last trip to wv. Found it on top of ground in the grass. Me or my friend must of dug it last time with something else and didn't recheck hole. Was lots of aluminum in that area, probably grabbed up the junk and left it laying there lol.
