Found this today. It's a trigger guard, but I'm wondering if anyone can date it or suggest the type of gun, based on this fragment. It seems smaller than other musket ones that we have found. Pistol, maybe?

Thanks.

Great find, probably from a flintlock or caplock pistol or musket! That's a really cool find because people didn't often drop the trigger guard off of their gun!
