Question guys...sure it has been asked b4... but here it goes.

When you list an item on ebay and allow best offers, when someone sends and offer and you counter ( in this case splitting difference of list price and the best offer) I see the buyer has a 48 hr window to decide. During this window is my item still able to be viewed and possibly bought at listed price by others? OR am I at the buyers mercy of responding???

Your item/listing is still available to anyone who wants to buy it. You can even accept multiple offers at the same time for the same item if you want. First one who pays gets it. All you need to know right here- eBay: Best Offer Beta

Yes, it is still available to other buyers, who can also see there is an offer outstanding. So sometimes I will let an offer sit without responding to it, hoping that another buyer will grab it for the full price.
