EE's January thread is ringing in the new year with some AG

Wont do a full listing until Saturday's auctions are over but...

Sold my EF 1914 barber dime for $20 to the local shop, I got it for 10 cents so major profits.

I also sold some online property in a video game and made another $13.75 from that which I put into some silver.

So below is what I got for free.

2 Roosevelt Dimes ($0.00/0.1446)
5 Washington Quarters ($0.00/0.9040)

6 Boxes of halves, bag of dimes and nickels, 3 possibly 4 auctions due this week. Going to be busy.

Thanks Mav, hopefully this year does better than last.

As for today, I dumped some coin and audited my PM holdings.

Found an extra war nickel I seem to have failed to add somewhere in the mix. I went line by line, counted everything and double counted and did the numbers in oz 3 times to make sure things were correct. I found I had miscalculated ( fat fingered ) and I was 0.7360 oz under on my listing Not a bad problem to have if I do say so myself, at least I have more silver than I though instead of less.

Hoping for a dream box soon.

So, I wrote this once and accidents closed the wrong tab so.. writing it again.

66 rolls of CW Nickels - Skunked
70 rolls of CW Dimes - Skunked
3 rolls of CW Quarters - Skunked
20 rolls of CW Halves - Skunked

Brinks Halves

Box 1: Skunked
Box 2: Skunked
Box 3: Skunked
Box 4: Skunked
Box 5: 1/40%
Box 6: Skunked

Auction 1 was uneventful, at least they got to the silver fast and it sold for $6 over spot for a 1oz round

Auction 2 I sat at for almost 5 hours. Finally some of the items I am iterested in come up. First items are two gold rings, I got neither but I did get the lady who purchased them to pay over melt for them by about $10.

After a while some sterling necklaces come up for sale, 4 of them totaling 3 oz. Total price was $82 worth of silver in them, I bid up the lady to the point of her paying $120 for them. There were a few other items I was interested in but at that point I left for auction #3 since everything was going for way too much. Old Women with money to spend = you wont get anything

Auction 3 was called the Junk-tion auction and it was basically all junk. One sterling ring in 5 boxes of costume jewelry, I decided to just go home.

Auction on Monday, not sure what will be there, I will have to call and find out.

Auction on Friday, not sure what will be there until this evening.

Auction on Saturday with jewelry and 260 lots of coins.

4 boxes of halves due on Wednesday and 5 boxes on Friday.

Also, I was paid $40 from a friend for the last 2 month of driving him to and from work so I have some free silver coming my way.

I hope so as well, its been horribly slow on the CRH front the last 6 months. the first two months of last year were good so I am hoping thing pick up a little here for me. I am working on trying to get some cash together asap so that I can up my order each week by 2 or 3 boxes. Sadly not knowing if I have to work on Saturdays really limits me. 9 boxes this week, hopefully it works out good.

My goal for 2012 was 256 oz

I am going to be recounting all my loot to double check and redoing all the numbers but I come up with 280.2535 as my current holdings of silver, which puts me at 4.2535 past this months goal.

My goal is 4 oz a week.

12-12: (256)
01-13: (272)
02-13: (288)
03-13: (304)
04-13: (320)
05-13: (336)
06-13: (356)
07-13: (372)
08-13: (392)
09-13: (408)
10-13: (424)
11-13: (444)
12-13: (464)

Those are my goals for the end of each month, by years end I am expecting to have 468 oz minimum. If a month starts with 3 days ( Thurs/Fri/Sat ) that week is not counted, if it starts with 4, than it is counted so some months get 5 weeks worth of totals or 20 oz for that month, like this month of Jan, which started on a Tuesday and ends on a Thursday. Both the starting and stopping weeks have 4 days so that count for that month.

Goal can be achieved from CRH, garage sales, Auctions, Coin shop, buying collections and metal detecting, I dont care how I get it, I will get my 4 oz a month in almost any way possible.

This is what 2011 and 2012 looked like ( Goal / Over - under of goal )

10-11: (012/+10.44)
11-11: (032/+04.13)
12-11: (048/-01.92)
01-12: (064/-06.92)
02-12: (084/+08.69)
03-12: (100/+09.98)

06-12: (152/+05.30)

Oh well, I was hoping for better but hey, at least my cat wants some attention finally lol.

I did find 3 proof halves to add to the future auction so that should net me a little profit.

Decided to revert the free Kennedy half from my free silver with the upcoming auction on Saturday, we will see what I can manage to pull from that with the $40.55 I have in profits.

Dumped some coin today, asked for SBA's or anything of interest, the teller gives me the SBA's and brings me all the halves.. one being a Ben Franklin. Walking out to the car, I find $2 to add to my free silver money fund.

5 boxes of halves for tomorrow, unknown CWR's. 1 Auction with coins and jewlery

Unknown number of rolls worth of dimes/nickels for Saturday, at least 1 auction with jewlery and 296 lots of coins, maybe two to go to if I decided to go, which I most likely do because I am pathetic and have no will power when it comes to getting PM's :D

Only got 4 boxes on Friday, seems the Brinks guy tipped the boxes at pick up bank #2 and one roll broke open so they would not sell me that box, it went back with the brinks guy. They are ordering me 4 next week.

Box 1: 12/40%
Box 2: Skunked
Box 3: Skunked
Box 4: Skunked

2 rolls of CW Nickels = Skunked
6 Rolls of CW Dimes = 1 Rosie
4 Rolls of CW Quarters = Skunked

Hit an auction on Friday night. Picked up 4 sterling rings for $6 total and a 14k gold ring with no stones for $40. I would have got it for $20 and at the last minute some Fstain ran me up another $20 but I still made a little something. A Ukrainian guy I see from time to time was there so we split up the rings, I bid on one and he on another. He got the better deal at the end. I also got a 1962 Peso for a buck. Overall, subtracting $42 of the $42.55 that I have set aside in free silver cash, I spent a whole $5 at this auction.

Hit an auction this afternoon, got two barber quarters for $10, they are slightly above junk silver quality, I might be able to move them on Craigslist for $7-$10 to someone who really wants them.

No dimes or nickels from my dump bank so this is the end of the week for me.

7 boxes next week, at least 2 auctions to go to, maybe 3. Who knows what it could bring. Things are starting to pick up a little, December was my last 10+ silvers in a box of halves and the time before that was July.. wow.

That sucks about the box breaking open, I get them damaged, they don't really seem to care, well, you guys have seen some of the crap I get delivered. Good score on the Barbers, that a dollar below melt for the 2 of them. Oh, and I like the "Fstain" analogy there too, lmao. Good luck this week EE! HH, Maverick.

Its the second time that it has happened there. Not a big deal, they are ordering me an extra box this week, which will be sort of tough to get rid of truthfully but I will manage. I just have to change up my dump order this week and keep one spot open for the extra box and hope I dont get too much in the way of dimes and nickels from my dump bank this week since I got none from them last week. Usually when that happens, I end up getting over $700 in dimes and nickels from them and I have my bi weekly order coming up next Wens. It gets tricky sometimes heh.

I could have got more barbers etc at about 50 cents under melt but that would use up my funds for this next weeks auctions. There are a couple gold pieces going up this Sunday and the people who attend the auction there dont know a whole lot about gold so I think I could snatch them up on the cheap and make some extra cash on the resale. We shall see what happens though. My local shop will pay $10 over spot for $5 gold eagles. So I know I can make at least $10 on it if I get it for spot :D

I know what you mean about it getting tricky, this week is going to be that way for me, tomorrow have to search and dump 4 boxes in the morning, pay mortgage at one dump bank with part of the dump then pick up 4 more boxes at another branch and dump those Wednesday morning 2 get 2 more boxes and so on and so on for the rest of the week. Next week is less, but this week I ended up with extras coming in.

Hope the gold coins Pan out for you ( pun intended, lol) good luck at the auction! HH, Maverick.

What if the broken box was a dream box? Maybe the Brinks guy saw lots of silver and "broke" the box on purpose.

Fridays auction has some sterling jewelry there for sure, so I hope to get something. Hoping my 7 boxes previous to the auction do me well.

Sundays auction will be off the hook. Might get something out of it but there are some big named coins going to be there.

Stars next to coins are the ones I am interested in purchasing if I can get them at a good price.
