After searching through 2 boxes of nickels, here is the breakdown of the finds:

Box 1:
Off Center Strike: 2
Canadian: 2
Pre-'60: 20
War Nickels : 0 :dontknow:

Box 2:
Buffalo: 2 (Dateless, 1934)
Canadian: 3
Pre-'60: 16
War Nickels: 2! (1945D & 1944P)
2009: 7

When going through the first box, I noticed that none of the dates were after 2005, which leads me to believe it was rolled in 2005 or early 2006, before 2006 nickels reached circulation. No enders so far, but the 1944P war nickel was in the first roll! I was quite excited, and a great box overall. Pictures of the buffalos and the war nickels are attached.

Finding a buff with a date is like a double whammy! I'd say like 90% of the buffs I have found have no dates/partial dates. You get the suprise of finding a buff then the suprise that it still has a date. Almost as fun, if not as fun, as finding a war nick. Congrats!

I've had some boxes rolled in early 2006. Also, I once got a box that was solid peace nickels.

Yes, I know the feeling! I saw this one down in the middle of the roll when I pulled it out of the paper, and was equally excited to see the date! I really like searching nickels, you almost always find something worth keeping even if there is no silver.

Nickels dont provide much profit.but i would rather go through 1 box of nickels and get 22 pre '60 and 3 war nicks then go through a box of halves and find 1 lone 40%.

Thank you! I've only just started and I seem to do much better with nickels than halves.
