Along with all the trash ( mostly nails ) I was able to find me a IMG_20170620_183140137.jpg
And not more than a few inch away this popped out. Thought it was play money until my wife was looking at it and said it was a pfennig. IMG_20170621_221204368.jpg IMG_20170621_221254000.jpg .
How do I clean it up so I might be able to find the date.

Nice silver coin! Kind of weird to find a Nazi Germany coin in the USA, probably a soldier brought it back as a souvenir of the war. If you look carefully you can see that the eagle is holding a Swastika, the date is supposed to be right below it.

There is one but it's hard to see, you have to hold it just so in order to see it.

Nice finds. Not sure how much luck you'll have cleaning the German coin. It's zinc and you're liable to do more harm than good.

Nice finds. I have had some success with soaking in lemon juice and using a small fine brass brush. Soak a little then brush a little. Repeat until you can make out the date. With the condition it is in you can't hurt it if you go slow.
