This is an older 15 inch coil , picked it up to clean , coil droped to the floor , I know this was an issue , my question is , did they thicken the coil ear's on the newer 15 inch coil , as the coil is way to heavy for the thin ear's ?

My understanding is that the newest version that is supposed to be available for the 900 has stronger ears. I haven't personally seen one yet though. I use the ear stiffeners available online to hopefully keep my 3rd replacement from breaking. I've also seen a few that have been repaired with various success rates. If it's under warranty, just get Minelab to send you another one.

So the ears on my 800 11” coil busted. Is minelab replacing or exchanging them?

Thanks

If it's under warranty, yes.
Yes if under warranty , but in my case it was out of warranty , sold my 800 , repaired the 15 coil than sold it , repair material about 35 bucks , and a bit of time , way stronger than stock , a guy in Florida now using it , hunted with it in the water , no problem , Earl
