Sorry for the glare in the pics. This 2005-P Ocean in View nickel has no date and you can see it is also missing the "y" off liberty. What's going on here? A legitimate error? Last pic shows it compared to a normal 2005-P. There's no signs of artificial wear where the date or "y" is and you can see the rim is normal where the date would be. I searched the net and could not find any other examples. Your thoughts are welcome and appreciated!

Looks to be a filled die error, grease or debris fill some of the die causing missing or weak elements.

I concur with a grease filled die. Value is up to the buyer. I'd try a web search for something similar.

don't you love photo shop?
By the way, coin has rust spots

Are you suggesting I photo shopped the year out? I can assure you that I have not. There is no year.

Regarding "rust", I'm not sure what it is, but it was sticky/tarry and has left permanent marks on the surface of the coin. Maybe it is what was filling the die or simply circulation shmooze.
