I hit an estate sale in the expensive part of town. There was quite a bit of high-end stuff but not much I was interested in. Focused on the jewelry table and was told it was picked clean of most of the silver and there was no gold. They were wrong. Scored this 2g 10kt white gold J A Jones 45 year service pin. Diamonds are not real.

I then saw this small coin bowl. On the rim was the Iranian hallmark for silver. 51g probably .800 for $2. Coin is .600 silver.

I also got this nice Hattie Carnegie Christmas holly pin for $1.50. They seem to sell well.

I also got a chunky 12kt gold filled bracelet from the local prestigious country club. It was $2.50.

It was a good day.

My favorite line ever! It's already been searched!!! Right! 99% of the time by someone who can't see or has no idea what they are looking for! [emoji108]🏽[emoji12]

Good eye, the bowl is sweet!

Thank you for your responses. BTW...The bowl failed the acid test. :(

Too bad on the bowl, but still all terrific finds from a sale that's been "picked through"!! I went to a sale once where the guy says to me " no gold or silver in the basket. My mom picked it all out as she owns a jewelry store". I proceed to hand him a sterling earring and said to him "she missed one "!! [emoji51]

I don't think so. The acid made the scratch disappear. The coin is .600 though
