Thanks Jack, It appears the only real differences are the Pro has the adjustable volume and pin point? I have heard that the 5" and 4x6" coils for the Fisher F5 will work on them too. Do you know if that's the case?

Not sure havnt looked into to see if they work, I just traded mine for a fisher 1236x2 with 10" coil, but I know on the pro you can save your settings not sure on the base model

No problem rebel, the eurotek isn't a bad machine and you should find some good stuff with it I was going to keep mine which I just bought from a member here but couldn't pass up a fisher 1236x2

I don't know if the base model does, but on the pro you have the capability of turning off iron's audio.
