Haven't been but looks very interesting. Had a house near Marion but wasn't aware of all that gold! Lol. Will certainly be checking it out. Thanks for the info.

That is a great place 4 gold lots of areas golden valley is hot and heathers grove is also a great place.i know a lot about that area thats where i started my whole shubang!!

Thanks Zeuss. I'm going to give this event a try.
After about 3 years of trying to pan for gold (not at commercial spots), I finally came up with a small flake around Rutherfordton. It was very small, but it was a big thrill to me to actually finally find a piece on my own.
I've tried Thermal City with my family too. It's a whole lot of fun there, and some great guys run it.
