After charging the batteries in my Excalibur and prior to taking it out, I wanted to see how
well it would hunt the ground as apposed to sand.
Taking it to the backyard and after several seconds, I got a smooth repeatable hit. Raising the coil up and down over the target gave me an idea of depth.
But to be sure I wanted to run the Omega 8000 over it to see if I could get
an idea of TID.
The Omega told me it was a wheat penny (82) at about 4" inches.
Took my TNet, vendor approved, shovel and pulled out a beautiful 1944 Wheat
Penny.
It really made my day. I guess it never really is all found. Best of luck out there.

I swing the Excalibur...I use it in fields...woods...cellar holes...it does extremely well...only downside is it is very heavy...but I don't mind...congrats on the wheat penny!
