Reject number 94 and 95 and turn down your sensitivity a bit that should stop the wrap around. The Xcals are iron haters.

Here in Fl, ive only dug a couple of hot rocks and they were in the dry sand. Now when farm hunting...... man you could hear them sing on an Explorer in Con or Ferr. For the most part i think the IM/factory salt setting limits them from wrapping around and like Sandman said reporting.

What about searching in pp/all-metal. Does the excall ignore them?

VLF machines are very sensibles to hot rocks. You can start to use Disc if you can, but you will simply loose every good targets. It's like having a peltor headphone on your head at the Opera and trying to enjoy Giuseppe Verdi.

If your talking about that kind of Rocks, forget it. You need to use PI machines, but most of them will shout a lot...

About your only option IF the Xcal sounds off on them is to reduce your sensitivity. Then they should go away..... but MAY report as iron/nulls.

Tom, I hunt beaches in MA in all metal with the Excal 2. Yes, I encounter a lot of hot rocks on certain beaches. I've found it's better to dig them than turn down sensitivity and risk missing a good find. The CTX or ATX most likely could null them out but can't confirm as i have neither.
