Went to a local city Park today with t-bucket and we both did quite well. I notice that an area had the top-soil removed to build a shelter. My first hit was a barber dime, so was the second. That was when I thought it was time to call my buddy over to get in on this. After he came over my next hit was a 1899 Barber Half. My totals were 1 - Barber Half, 5 - Barber Dimes, 3 - Mercury Dimes, 2 - Buffalo Nickels, 2 - V Nickels, 2 - Indians, 8 - Wheats and 1 - 5 cents off a loaf of bread token.

Good lord what great finds. What did t-bucket find?
I wish I could come up with finds like that. You guys need to set up a hunt with a place like that.

Awesome, thanks for sharing. Your finds are the reason everyone want's just one more inch of depth, just a little better target separation, just a little better at ignoring junk to find the coins. Any old well used park has so many coins like that still waiting...

That is one "Kick Ass" hunt for a city park. Just imagine how much more you could find there if they scraped a larger area.

Congrats,

Great going!

There is nothing better than an "opportunity hunt". Opportunity hunts only have a small window of opportunity to get in and detect. You took advantage of the situation with fantastic results!!!!

Thanks Nana40. I am trying to find out where the dirt was hauled. I do know where one load was taken. I am researching for the owner of the property since it was just sold.
