Start out with factory settings, and knock the gain down to 6 or 7 (factory default is 8). Max out the variability, set SENS on 26 Semi-auto. Leave FAST and DEEP off. The stock coin mode will be fine for most beginners to start with.

Now Noise Cancel and start swinging.....SLOWLY! One swipe in one direction should take 4-5sec minimum. Listen to the Threshold tone. If it excessivly nulls, lower the SENS or get a smaller coil.
