With that big a coil, make sure your gain is low. Gain is increased for tiny objects in which the 13" is not made. The larger coils are for deeper larger objects. Ideal for relic and cache hunting. So gain should be no higher than 20 maybe 30. Threshold until it chatters then dropped back a bit. Threshold should be able to go medium high then as well as the sensitivity.
