Thanks for the link to the source. I’ts something I can add to my research tools.
I have several interesting historical stories that I want to follow up on by locating something in the ground that is related to the happening. For instance maybe there is a huge explosion that occurred...my treasure would be finding the location on the ground and coming back with a piece of twisted/mangled iron. Interesting learning about history and connecting the dots like that.

Lots of unpublished lost treasure stories are out there to this day.

I have a couple that were not published except for a obituary.
Many “old timers” burned alive in their cabins or were killed in an accident that many today would call preventable.
