Well, yesterday I found my best find ever as some of you already know. Here is that post:
http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,119465.0.html
My first Spanish silver!!!! Hopefully not my last.
This was my 2nd attempt at MDing around the 1830 home and property that is in the Morrisville CW battlefield area.
The flat open land and soft soil makes for very easy MDing. Around the back yard there are a bunch of signals where the old separate kitchen used to be. So many signals I could spend the day just in that area. The finds you see here were found around the house, and out in the field area pictured. I had a fantastic day, and as you can imagine, finding Spanish silver will be a memory that lasts a lifetime for me.
Here were my finds:
*Spanish silver 8 reale piece - late 1700's
*1800's flat button
*3-ringer bullet (looks fired)
*A buckle (CW era I'm hoping)
Any idea?
*Silver spoon piece with "Pat. Jan. 14, 08 - W.R." on the back
*Skeleton key
*Small decorative silver piece marked "Sterling" on the back
*Asst'd other decorative pieces and a pottery shard
*Green bottle with "Des. Pat. 92148" on the bottom
*Piece of a Hubley firetruck
*Other relics that I have no idea what they are?
Thanks for looking and HH (Happy Holidays) everyone.
